Thank you for doing this for Mr. Akiki. This case still makes me ill. I can still remember sitting in my car awaiting the verdict and crying when he was found innocent. How these people sleep with themselves at night I do not know. Best wishes to Dale, his wife, and his entire family for a peaceful future.

Incredibly touching story. Thanks for sharing. I’m glad, for once, the system worked and an innocent man was spared (even if he shouldn’t have gone through it in the first place).

Thank you for putting this together. So many innocent people have been wrongly accused, thank god Dale Akiki didn’t become one of those poor souls.

    I remember Dale’s …
I remember Dale’s case well, because at the time I was paying close attention to the widespread media coverage asserting all this “satanic abuse” bullshit. I cheered for Dale back then, and shed tears of joy again just now. Justice was served.

Those who brainwash children are the true monsters. I wonder how fk’d up those 52 kids are now, after all that AND the “positive” religious indoctrination they undoubtedly got at church.

I grew up in SanDiego and remember this story very well.I was only 14 at the time it was going on,and it diddnt take long for for me to forget about it.On June 8th 2002 I came home from deployment after joining the navy and my dad took me to this resteruant on claremont mesa blvd. And I swear I seen Dale Akiki.I remember him glanceing at me because I noticed him .I diddnt want him to think I was stareing at him but I knew who I was looking at .And Im glad that he was found innocent.
